For Women & Girls ONLY | Hold On Tight l Devorah Schwartz & Bracha Jaffe
In honor of the Vzakieni Movement that includes 50,000 members. שכל המבקש רחמים על חברו והוא צריך לאותו דבר ,הוא נענה תחילה Anyone who asks for mercy for his fellow and is himself in need of the same thing, he will be answered first. We are ingrained with a deep concern for our sisters and brothers. We are raised to care deeply for our families, our nation, and humanity. We are incapable of turning a blind eye to the sorrow or suffering of others. Praying for others in their time of despair is a lesson we have learned long ago from our forefather Avraham, when he prayed for Avimelech’s health. G-d takes tremendous pride when we show empathy for our fellow humans, as we learn from when G-d rewarded Avraham for his compassion by bestowing the son that he and Sarah had prayed for, for so long. Every Friday evening as we bring in shabbos and light the shabbos candles, women all over the world use this time to pray for their children. By joining the Vzakeini movement we are not only praying for our own families but rather we’re elevating this hour by including another couple who is trying desperately to start their family. There is a tremendous power of unity as we pray for our sisters separately in our own homes, and yet together at the same time, all over the world. Ever since we were privileged to cover the first vzakeini song together, we have developed a strong bond not only of song, but of mutual support for each other. We cheer each other on and each pray for the other’s success. It was only natural for us to embrace this next project and cover Hold on Tight, the sequel to the first song. Recording and filming this project together felt like a conversation between two sisters bonded by soul and spirit. We hope this song helps you internalize the immense power that comes each week when sisters all over the world pray for a fellow sisters’ deepest wishes. We urge you all to join us in the Vzakeini movement, to experience a moment of intense care for your global family. We know that G-d sees this love. – Love, Devorah and Bracha Starring Bracha Jaffe @brachajaffe5767 & Devorah Schwartz Composer and Lyricist: Chayala Neuhaus Featuring The ZAHAV & ZAMRA Childrens Choir Filmed at Edited: Rivkin Media @rivkinmedia3086 Music Production redone by: Shai Bachar Drums: Yuval Lion Bass: Uri Kleinman Electric and acoustic guitar: Yair Maizlish Percussion: Yair Maizlish Nylon Guitar: Yuval Ben Lior Strings: The Sita Chay String Ensemble Piano : Shai Bachar Keyboards and programing: Shai Bachar Mix and Mastering: Tal Rom Studio: PlayMasters Studio Recorded by: Ian Freitor Music project coordinator: Chayie Berko Childrens choir Makeup Noa 347-865-5196 Hair Devorah Katz @hairandwigsbydevorahk Bracha Makeup: Riva Adler Hair: Devori Ulman Devorah Makeup: Esty Morelle Hair: Chassi Meisner Lyrics In a room that feels empty I stand here on my own With my battered hopes and dreams With countless tears and whispered prayers, The life that i’m yearning for It Always seems just out of reach Imagined it so many times My dream Vzakeini A family of my own Offered every tear I have Done all there is to do But i know im not in this alone I know that it’s hard to keep waiting, So i’ll be here with you- holding your hand And together our cries vezakeni Our tears will be carried right up to hashem So let’s keep on waiting together , hoping together For just one more day Hold on tight for just a bit longer Our cry our tefilos He won’t turn away In a world that feels empty We’ve languished in golus With only our faith still aglow our silent hopes and whispered prayers Echoing painfully The dream in our hearts yet to grow We’ve imagined it so many times We’ve cried for moshiach For that day, a home of our own We’d offered every tear we have Done all there is to do But we know we’re not waiting alone I know that it’s hard to keep waiting, So i’ll be here with you- holding your hand And together our cries vezakeni Our tears will be carried right up to hashem So let’s keep on waiting together , hoping together For just one more day Hold on tight for just a bit longer Our cry our tefilos He won’t turn away Ve’af al pi….
